Route A 5thDay

We came to Kars in the dark and next day we are leaving from there after sunrise. Today is going to be a very long day; Therefore we decide not to take breaks frequently to take photos but we broke this decision very fast. We stop in Bardaklı village after 30 minutes on our way to Ağrı. Actually Mount Ağrı emerges suddenly and stops us. We find ourselves by taking photos of Mt. Ağrı on the plains across the village. 

The road to İshakpaşa is narrow and curving like other destinations to which we went before. As soon as we get off the bus, everybody is going to a different place on the hill that İshakpaşa palace stands on and takes photos approximately 1 hour. We set off again with awesome shots.

When we arrived at Van, rain welcomes us but nothing will prevent us from going to Akdamar Church because we have been dreaming it for days. 

We stop by Lake Van to take couple of photos shortly. Another surprise is waiting for us again. A yellow van that stops by the lake is watching the landscape of the Van lake. After 10 minutes, we are boarding a vessel to go to the island. Nobody cares about cloudy and rainy weather. All cameras are ready before departing. Eventually, we are on the island.

The church, which stands between spring branches, is being photographed from every angle. The lake is like a silver mirror. When the rain begins again, we remember that we have a long way to Batman ahead and keep driving. Do you want to know a secret? The more willingly you set off, the more generous a journey treats you. Our journey has made us meet sincere and cheerful people since the first day of our trip.
