We are leaving from our hotel in Konya early in the morning and we set off. Our first stop is Beysehir lake. It is the third biggest lake in Turkey. We are going to Icerisehir neighborhood by the lake. This neighborhood is located on the side of the lake and it looks like a Aegean shore town in which the time stopped. The charming Esrefpasa mosque welcomes us on the small square of the neighborhood. It fascinates us with its 46 wooden columns and tiles covered altar.
When we set off for Side, we realize that we stayed in Beysehir more than we planned. I understood one more time that you can't plan when you are on the road. The road always prepares surprises and it is impossible to ignore them most of the time. The curved road to Side is taking us to top of the Toros Mountains meanderingly. We should to go to the coasts of Mediterranean sea by passing through the mountains but we are passing breathtaking places and that's why we stop to take photos almost every 45 minutes. When we arrive at Side, the day is about to end. We don't have time to see waterfalls but we succeed to photograph The Temple of Artemis at sunset with fascinating light and shadow games. We didn't give up seeing waterfalls. As soon as we wake up,
we will go to Duden and witness the power of water.
